This report's primary purpose is to summarize the new lessons and seismic policy priorities emerging for the Mw 6.0 South Napa earthquake of August 24, 2014, and to identify existing earthquake preparedness, response, and mitigation policies and practices that may need to be improved or revised based on observations from this earthquake - one of the first to inflict damage on a major metropolitan area in the State of California in over two decades. The 20 findings and 10 priority recommendations are organized around five key topical areas: Geosciences, Infrastructure, Buildings, People and Businesses, and Government and Institutions.
