Tests of Structures Incorporating Protective Systems

PROSYS Logo

Large-scale testing of structural models incorporating earthquake protective systems has been integral to the acceptance of these technologies for seismic design. For the purposes of the PROSYS database, system tests refer to all tests of realistic or mocked-up structural models, including earthquake simulator tests of building or bridge models, ambient vibration monitoring of completed structures, or field tests of structures through forced-vibration or quick-release excitations.
