Public Warnings During Earthquake Disaster.

This study examined how the public heard, perceived and responded to warnings in the context of an ongoing disaster that had already occurred. The warnings were for damaging aftershocks following the Loma Prieta earthquake. The research was performed on randomly selected samples of households in Santa Cruz and San Francisco Counties.
