Pedestrian bridges have always attracted creative engineers. As traffic loads are small and there is not a large restraint requirement for alignment, they offer more freedom for the designer’s imagination than bridges for heavy traffic and high speed. In the following, only some of the interesting pedestrian bridges of Leonhardt, Andrä and Partners are presented. For further examples, see Slides H36-H37, H57-H58 and H59. |
