Soil moduli and damping factors for dynamic response analyses

This report summarizes available data on the dynamic shear moduli and damping factors for soils and presents the results in a form which will provide a useful guide in the selection of soil characteristics for analysis purposes. Since most of the data available to date have been developed for sands and saturated clays, the report will deal primarily with these two types of materials, though limited data for gravelly soils and peats is also included.
