This report describes the facilities presently or soon to be made available at the University of California for the purpose of subjecting structural elements, assemblages, and structures to simulated earthquake ground motion. The facilities include a test frame assembly, and a medium-scale shaking table 20 ft x 20 ft in plan capable of testing structures weighing up to 120 thousand pounds. The installation also includes the hydraulic power system supplying 320 gpm at 3,000 psi, and a two-channel structural loading system.
