Effects of Type of Restraint upon History of Expansion and upon Mechanical Behavior of Expansive-Cement Concrete

Results of experiments indicate the use of expansive cement concrete for the production of prismatic prestressed structural members in which the expansion is restrained only longitudinally does not seem to hold great promise for practical applications because of the effects of transverse expansion.
