Maximum Temperature Stresses in Dworshak Dam

Using finite element techniques incorporating creep of concrete and time-dependent properties of concrete, this study determined the maximum stresses throughout a number of lifts of concrete under a variety of construction and cooling programs using known properties of mass concrete for the Dworshak Dam in Idaho.
