The finite element technique is extended to the refined analysis of multi-layer beams, plates and shells with no restriction placed on the ratios of the layer thicknesses properties. Element stiffnesses are based on polynomial displacement models and are for linear elastic analysis of beams, circular plates, and thin axisymteric shells of arbitrary meridian. Listing of original computer programs for axisymetric shells are given.
