The Earthquake Engineering Online ArchiveThermodynamic Theory of Concrete Deformation at Variable Temperature and HumidityBazant, Zdenek P. UCB/SESM-1969/11, Dept. of Civil Engineering, University of California, Berkeley, 1969-08, 103 pages (500/C23/69/11) This report presents a derived, constitutive equation for long time deformations of concrete at variable temperature and humidity. Special attention is given to thermal dilations. A discussion of delayed effects in thermal dilation is presented and some hypotheses on the effects of cyclic temperature are briefly analyzed.
