Nonlinear Heat Transfer Analysis of Axisymmetric Solids

Farhoomand, Iraj; Wilson, Edward L.

UCB/SESM-1971/06, Dept. of Civil Engineering, University of California, Berkeley, 1971-04, 145 pages

The purpose of the report was to modify the finite element method as applied to heat transfer problems and to develop a technique for the evaluation of temperature in two-dimensional axisymetric bodies of arbitrary geometry. The nonlinearity effects of conduction, radiation, convection and colling pipe forms of heat transfer are considered by this program.
