The Earthquake Engineering Online ArchiveStructural Behavior of a Two Span Reinforced Concrete Box Girder Bridge Model, Vol. II -- Reduction, Analysis and Interpretation of ResultsScordelis, Alex C.; Bouwkamp, Jack G.; Wasti, Syed Tanvir UCB/SESM-1971/16, Dept. of Civil Engineering, University of California, Berkeley, 1971-10, 109 pages (500/C23/71/16) A detailed presentation of the reduction, analysis and interpretation of the experimental and theoretical results obtained in testing a large scale, two span, four cell, reinforced concrete box girder bridge model is provided. Methods and computer programs used are outlined. Results in terms of reactions, deflections, strains and moments for the response of the bridge to dead load, working stress loads and at over load stress levels are given and comparisons between experimental and theoretical values are made. Loading to failure and observations of structural behavior during this final phase are detailed. Available online: http://nisee.berkeley.edu/documents/SEMM/SEMM-71-16.pdf (17 MB) |
