The Earthquake Engineering Online ArchiveSHRINC - A Computer Program for Nonuniform Drying Shrinkage in Concrete MembersIding, Robert H.; Bresler, Boris UCB/SESM-1975/08, Dept. of Civil Engineering, University of California, Berkeley, 1975-08, 110 pages The program SHRINC (Shrinkage in Concrete) calculates nonuniform drying shrinking histories with concrete prismatic members. A nonlinear finite element formulation which considers the moisture dependence of material properties is used. The finite element formulation, the idealization of materials properties and boundary conditions, the numerical approach, and practical use aspects are discussed. The users manual, a sample problem with input and output, and a listing of the program code (Fortran) are included. Available online: http://nisee.berkeley.edu/documents/SEMM/SEMM-75-08.pdf (5 MB) |
