Analytical assumptions include: (1) membrane analysis of an uncracked concrete shell neglecting bending effects in the shell; (2) a linear finite element analysis of an uncracked concrete shell including membrance and bending effects; and, (3) a material nonlinear finite element analysis of a reinforced concrete shell considering cracking and inelastic behavior of the concrete and yielding of the reinforcement.
