Contributions are made in three aspects of structural analysis of building systems. The first is the analysis of shear walls with openings using Flexible Zones Method, where the wall is modeled by a group of transformed beam elements. The second aspect is the analysis of buildings under self-weight during construction. Both are useful in analysis of reinforced concrete buildings in particular. The third aspect deals with roundoff in the structural analysis process using limited precision. Consideration is given to the possibility of implementing formed algorithms in programs that can run on microcomputers in a reasonable time. Algorithms are provided and sample (limited) program codes are listed.
