The Use of Ritz Vectors in Adaptive Finite Element Dynamic Analysis

An adaptive finite element discretization technique which utilizes specially derived Ritz vectors for solving structural dynamics problems is presented. The performance and efficiency of the proposed technique is demonstrated by solving several examples.
