Inelastic behavior of cable stayed bridge towers with slender columns is generally affected by material nonlinearities and geometric nonlinearities. Geometric nonlinearity effects will be encouraged by gravity load level, creep deformation of concrete and lateral deformation increases. This study focuses on influence of creep due to gravity load and cyclic lateral load on the ultimate strength and deformation characteristics and applicability of the 'moment magnifier method.'
