A Direct Spectral Method for the Stability Analysis of Cylindrical Shells

The paper addresses numerical aspects of applying Fourier series to the nonlinear analysis of nonsymmetrically loaded cylindrical shells. Results obtained for typical shell problems have good accuracy and the method proved to be efficient in the majority of examples.
