This is volume two of a study undertaken to develop a theory for analyzing the consolidation of partly saturated clay soils, and to develop a procedure for performing finite element analyses of the behavior of rockfill dams during construction, during reservoir filling, and during the development of long-term seepage. Volume 1 of the study is also available in the NISEE archive as a separate report.
