The testing program described here evaluates the effect of peripheral velocity on the undrained strength and deformability characteristics inferred from the shear vane test. The study was conducted on a slightly cemented bentonite-kaolinite soil mixture manufactured in the lab to possess many of the characteristics of natural materials.
