The SP5 program computes the strength and hyperbolic stress-strain parameters for static finite element analysis. Required input can be determined from conventional triaxial compression tests. Details on the hyperbolic stress-strain parameters and methods for their evaluation can be found in UCB/GT-80-01 "Strength, Stress-Strain and Bulk Modulus Parameters for Finite Element Analysis of Stresses and Movements in Soil Masses" (Duncan et al).
