The STABR program, originally developed at UC Berkeley in 1971, calculates the factor of safety for specified circles, or searched for the circular slip surfaces having the minimum factor of safety using either the Ordinary Method of Slices or Bishop's Modified Method. The program may be used for total or effective stress analyses or a combination of both and with or without seismic forces. This microcomputer version was prepared in 1983.
