Application of first-order reliability to stochastic finite element analysis of groundwater flow

A method of stochastic analysis of groundwater flow based on the first-order reliability approach is presented, using a two-dimensional finite element model of confined groundwater flow in a vertical or horizontal plane, or unconfined groundwater flow in a horizontal plane.
