Dynamic and Pseudo-Dynamic Evaluation of RC Structure Containing Masonry Infill

The configuration and results of shake-table and pseudo-dynamic tests performed on the first-story substructure of a five-story prototype reinforced concrete (RC) building with unreinforced masonry (URM) infill walls are presented. The discussion is limited to a comparison of the global results in terms of the base shear and roof displacement, and the role of the URM infill in the behavior and distribution of forces.
