This report contains the documents distributed for discussion prior to the workshop and closes with a summary chapter based on workshop discussions. The goals of the workshop were (1) to disseminate a summary of research findings from the PEER multi-campus research project on shallow foundations and to discuss a plan for future related research and (2) to receive feedback from structural engineers, practicing engineers, and geotechnical peers to improve the design of the last model test series and to provide some helpful direction in the ongoing development of procedures to analyze and predict highly nonlinear moment-rotation, shear-sliding, and axial load-settlement behavior of footings for shear walls.
