The Earthquake Engineering Online ArchiveDynamic properties of a thirty-story condominium tower buildingStephen, Roy M.; Wilson, Edward L.; Stander, Nielen UCB/EERC-85/03, Earthquake Engineering Research Center, University of California, Berkeley, 1985-04, 100 pages (545/S75/1985) Results are presented for forced and ambient vibration studies of a 30-story condominium building, constructed using a concrete ductile moment-resistant space frame. Dynamic characteristics, such as resonant frequencies, damping, and vertical and horizontal mode shapes of the structure, are determined and correlated with analytical results using the computer program SAP-80.
