The objective of this study is to understand and quantify, with statistical measures, the force, deformation, and energy demands imposed by ground motions of general characteristics, magnitudes, and distances on regular frames with different configurations and structural properties. The study focuses on the development of engineering demand parameters (EDPs) relationships based on simulations by means of nonlinear time history analyses of 2-D, nondeteriorating regular moment-resisting frame structures subjected to ordinary ground motions.
